Clarence House

An attractive 4 bedroom house located close to the centre of town, within easy reach of shops, restaurants and the harbour and just yards away from the ever popular Porthcressa beach, Clarence House offers a central, family friendly base for exploring Scilly.

The house is accessed through a gated front yard, into a small porch area, perfect for shoes and coats. The front door takes you into the main lounge with smart TV, unlimited internet and DVD player.

The back door opens onto a rear granite walled courtyard, attractively planted with palms, grasses and shrubs. With its own gated access, this sun trap yard is perfect for coming back from the beach and rinsing off before entering the house.

Clarence House retains many attractive features such as exposed granite, beamed ceilings and cottage-style doors. The farmhouse-style kitchen/diner with attractive oil-fired stove heater set into a large open chimney breast is a lovely feature, as is the cosy snug lounge with Victorian cast iron fireplace, which is separate to the main lounge area.

On the first floor there is one super-king bedroom with ensuite facilities (which can also be a twin), two double bedrooms and family shower room. Facilities include a washing machine, dish washer, Wi-Fi, Freeview TV, DVD player & BBQ. The property is fitted with electric panel heaters throughout. Please note the stairs up to the first floor are open tread, and there is no guest access to the attic room.

Bed linen, towels and electricity are all included in the weekly rental price, beach towels can be hired locally on request.

Travel cots & high chairs can be hired locally, but please note that we cannot offer stairgates for this property.
