Getting Around
Travelling to the Isles of Scilly is part of the fun, but once you have arrived you will discover a more tranquil pace of life, with less cars, lots of bicycles and inter island boat services which allow you to discover the beautiful off islands day by day. Visitors are strongly discouraged from bringing vehicles over, but there are bikes, trikes, scooters and electric golf buggies available to hire, as well as a seasonal community bus service.
St Mary’s Boatmen’s Association operate throughout the season. Tickets can be purchased onboard, or on the quay, and return trips are announced on the boat.
Golf buggies are a great way to explore St Mary’s. Hire 2, 4 or 6 seaters from Scilly Cart Co, but don’t forget your driving licence!
